It is 2008 when two entrepreneurs arrive in Gallura, drawn by the wild beauty of the land: hills sloping down to the sea, the scents of the Mediterranean scrub carried on the salty breeze. Their reason? To find a place to build something authentic, where the land still spoke an ancient language.
A discovery beyond expectation
An estate with a vineyard already planted, a silent witness to winegrowing rooted for generations. Almost by chance, the decision is made to vinify that first harvest, and Maìa is born: the Vermentino that became the symbol of the winery. The spark that turns intuition into reality.

At the Decanter World Wine Awards in London, one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world, Maìa stood out from the very start. It was not expected. It was not part of the plan. It was the land speaking through the wine, proving that Gallura, already renowned for its wines, had so much more to tell. Once again.
Our pact with the land
And so Siddùra was born, with a clear and non-negotiable goal: to produce wines of the highest quality that express the purest Sardinia. Understanding the land, listening to it, respecting it. No compromises, no shortcuts.
After Vermentino came Cannonau and Carignano. Then a few international varieties, to dare and to show that this land knows how to welcome and transform.
Siddùra: “saddle” in the Gallurese dialect
The valley of the same name, where the estate’s vineyards work and rest. A natural hollow sheltered by the hills, kissed by the sun yet cooled by the sea breeze rising from the coast. Granite soils that bring minerality, day-night temperature swings that favour slow and complete ripening, constant winds that keep the bunches dry and healthy.
Not something invented on paper. Geography that becomes identity.
